About All for Children” Project
All for Children is a five-year initiative supported by a 4.5 million USD donation from H&M and run by UNICEF. The project started in 2009 and focuses on protecting the rights of children in cotton producing areas in the state of Tamil Nadu in southern India. The goal is to get children out of work and into school and improve access to health and nutrition care.
The ”All for Children” project will focus its efforts on the cotton producing districts of Salem and Dharmapuri, where around 1.2 million children live. The two districts have a history of child labour due to a variety of factors such as poverty, lack of education and low awareness of children’s rights.
To combat these problems and ensure long-lasting results, ”All for Children” will work with several important areas. For example, the project will give children access to quality education and health care, as well as create opportunities for families to secure incomes so that they can afford to let their children go to school instead of work. The project will also raise awareness of children’s right to be respected, to go to school and to good health.

Dior Illustrated: René Gruau and the Line of Beauty

Any woman will gasp at the name. We are talking haute-couture, glamour and chic. Dresses so beautifully cut they seem unreal, as if they had been sewn on the body – the essence of femininity. To learn a little more about this magic, rush to the Somerset House’s retrospective of René Gruau, Dior’s iconic illustrator. The two artists met in 1936, when they were both working in the fashion department of le Figaro. They shared the same thoughts, the same visions: a friendship that also led to a fruitful collaboration of 50 years…

Dior Illustrated: René Gruau and the Line of Beauty at Somerset House
Dior Illustrated: René Gruau and the Line of Beauty is a celebration of the work of influential illustrator René Gruau at London's Somerset HouseStrand, London WC2R 1LA.

This exhibition focuses on his work for Dior, with more than 40 original illustrations for Christian Dior Parfums on show, including:

  • Vintage perfume bottles
  • Sketches
  • Magazines
  • Poster adverts
As well as beautiful illustrations, prepare to gush over John Galliano's selection of Dior haute couture dresses, including a special dress designed by Galliano in honour of Gruau.

Manoush Investments

I usually want to choose clothes which are special and unique and that's why I have so many pieces from Manoush in my closet. Young French label Manoush has an eclectic vintage style that is both sophisticated and cool. The brand's name comes from the French word for gypsy, so it follows that these gorgeous pieces have a whimsical, bohemian edge. After her travels to Morocco in 2002, founder Frédérique Trou-Roy decided to launch her own line. Manoush spirit is bohemian and girly. So here are some of my favorite "Manoush Investments".
